From what I heard, back in the LAUGH-IN days, this show was shot on videotape, and was literally then edited with razor blades, cutting the video tape and then splicing it together at the edit point. Not easy… before the days of CMX videotape editing (developed by CBS and MEMOREX) which then made the edit process much faster.
