A Fond Farewell To Charles Osgood…Today Is His Last Show

Later this morning, Charles will bring is 22 year hosting job at “CBS Sunday Morning” to a close, with a very special edition of the show. As a tribute, I’ve laid out some of the many beautiful shots our friend Craig Wilson has shared over the last year or so, and hope you will enjoy seeing Charlie “at home” in CBS Studio 45. Happy Trails Charlie, and “We’ll see you on the radio”. -Bobby Ellerbee

  1. A few years back, the show reached out for a barbershop quartet to sing in a segment. One was provided by the Westchester Chordsmen. The guys had great things to say about Charlie and the show in general.

  2. 22 years ago, when Charles Kuralt ended his 15 year run as host, I feared for the show’s future. Well, we know how that change worked out. I’m certain that Jane will continue the show’s excellence.

  3. I saw most of today’s show while I was getting ready for church. I would have loved to see the last of it but I was running late and couldn’t take time to set my recorder. I love Charles and I will miss him. I love Jane Pauley too but it will be an adjustment. See you on the radio Charley.
