RCA Catalog Cover? Nope! Better…
A few months ago, well known Atlanta photographer Parker Smith came to my house and shot my camera collection all day long. This is one of those shots…a beautiful portrait of my RCA TK60, but this is not just one shot! It’s a composite of about a dozen shots. This actually looks much better and sharper if you click on it for the bigger view.
He would relight each shot and later combine them with Photoshop to merge the images into one. I think RCA would be jealous. Thank you Parker! More to come soon!
Beautiful!
glamour shot!
Nicely done!
Gorgeous!
TK60 is a beautiful camera
Wonderful !
I can hear the 60s era ABC sounder in my head as I view this.
I can’t wait to see more.
This camera was mostly used by NBC. I was there and remember it well.
i have always wanted a tk11 i think thats the one but where can we see your collection omline ?
I’m jealous! 🙂
A little better than the tk10 and 11
…RCA’s answer to the Marconi Mark IV ! ..a great looking camera !
My only question: is the camera and ABC logo of the same generation? With that said, it’s a wonderful shot–a part of me wish I had kept one, but I didn’t…sold off all the ones I saved from the dumpster.
Oh, and this was before zoom lenses were common! Love the turret!
The best black and white television camera built. Marconi had a 4 and a half inch IO black and white camera, but it wasn’t as stylish. The Marconi used a crank to turn the lens turret which only worked in one direction. RCA nailed it with the TK60.
Beautiful picture of a great camera.
You should shoot pictures of the inside… Never see that again, tubes!
Yes. A beautiful portrait for sure. Can’t tell for sure, but it looks like a 50, 90, 135, & 8″…right?
Love that Houston Fearless Cradle panhead…I can still strip one down an’ make it smooth as a baby’s butt!
