‘The Muppet Show’…Horizontal Split Screen Open

Who knew? Until I saw this photo and compared it to a Season 4 opening montage, I never knew it was done in layers of horizontal image editing. The video starts at the intro. Enjoy and share.

  1. Studio D, ATV Elstree studios, Borehamwood, Hertfordshire, England . Occupied by BBC TV since 1984. Photo taken from the permanent audience area, the Muppet workshop was underneath the audience seating at studio floor level.

  2. Anybody recognise the Muppeteers? I reckon Richard Hunt is one of them. Usually the crew included Jim Henson, Frank Oz, Dave Goelz, and Jerry Nelson, at least during the first series in 1976.
