The Eyes Of A Generation Camera Collection Video Tour
It’s been a while since I posted this walking tour of my camera collection, and a few of you have asked me to post it again, so here it is. There are 16 cameras on display in my camera room and this was shot a year ago with a Sony camera made for still photos. Narrating, shooting and maneuvering at the same time was not as easy as many of you make it look, but I hope you enjoy it. Please share this.[fb_vid id=”642057099165176″]
Enjoyed it! Thanks for posting!
Thanks for the presentation, brings me back to my camera days.
Thanks for the presentation.
Are any of the cameras functioning? Do you have the RCU’s for them? The other thing I was wondering is the weight capacity of your floor, that is a lot of weight!!!
I’m glad I’m not the only one who loves old TV gear! Thanks for not only salvaging all that, but for sharing it all with us! I’d love to come see it all someday.
tòh la BVP 370 …
Beautiful. Thanks for the memories.

Seeing the Sony BVP 370 functioning was a real treat!

So cool!! thanks for sharing!
Wow. Bobby’s a geek for old cameras like I am for old Macs! Impressive!
Great Collection!
Thanks for sharing your fascinating & priceless collection. I enjoy hearing your stories.
I loved the tour! I used to operate that CBS PC 60 camera here in Washington. I believe I heard it referred to as a PC 70 by the maintenance guys back in the day. We had 4 cameras and we used to move 2 of them from the main studio on the first floor to the second floor newsroom when Cronkite did the show from here. One was mounted on a robo setup and we used that for the Eric Severied commentary as he like that better. Brought back many memories. Thanks!
NIce tour and beautiful collection Bobby!
That’s a museum! Thanks for the tour.
Thanks for this, Bobby – lots of memories here!
Thanks Bobby. Great tour, many memories.
I truly have enjoyed this video, thankyou so much for doing this post. Please continue to do posts like this one..they are really great moments of history.
Truly amazing !! Having spent 35 years at NBC Burbank as a cameraman, this brings back a lot of memories !! While in college we used some of those early cameras with the multi-lens compliments ! In ’78 we still had the old crank ped’s in Studio 7 which was a small news update studio ! Great stuff !! Thanks for sharing !!
That was fantastic! Love ur voice.
I thought the Norelco PC-60 was a film chain camera, sans viewfinder, as we used this at Editel in the ’80’s, and the PC-70 was the live camera. Am I confused?
Very cool…
PC 60 were in the camera bays of the first ABC Sports remote truck I work with.
