This Weekend, The Marque Changes!
This weekend, CBS will recreate the February 9, 1964 theater marque for Studio 50. It’s part of the Sunday night celebration on the web and on the air. CBS live stream the show that starts at 6:30 Sunday afternoon from the show’s original home. From 8 till 10, the Beatles tribute concert will air “on the telly”.

Wow, that is cool!
I can only imagine what it would have been like if CBS had been able to restore the theater to it’s full size, the way it was 50 years ago, instead of the much smaller space that is used today.
By the way, this is not a permanent change. Probably just Friday, Saturday and Sunday and taken down Monday.
I suppose the temporary ‘old’ facade will be fitted over the permanent ‘Late Show’ signage, making it actually a bit bigger than the original Studio 50 signage.
