In case you have never seen it, here is the very first sketch of the RCA TK42 camera, the successor to RCA’s TK41 line. This is a scan of the master drawing that I have. It was given to me by RCA’s Harry Wright who designed this, the TK44 and most of RCA’s Telecine equipment. At the link below is the full archive I have from harry with more, first ever sketches.

… @ Serge Bordeleau ..friend request me if you feel like ! ..in my Bobby’s World series of photos, I posted me working a TK-41C, an IVC 500 A, an Ikegami HL-79 and I even played around with a GE PE 250 / 350 ..am thinking the three vidicons couldn’t keep up with the big 4 & 1/2″ IO ..what a mismatch, but I’m no engineer type ..am only guessing !
Wasn’t the IO tube a 4 1/2″ ? That would be a fantastic luminance channel.
First camera I ever operated. Heavy sucker too.
…am curious ..weren’t the pickup tubes pointed in the opposite direction and mirrored to the lens ? ..or am I wrong ? ?
