FINALLY! Chuck Pharis Has Unpacked!
After the move from California to Tennessee a couple of years ago, our friend Chuck has finished putting together a new camera room at his home. I’ll have more photos tomorrow, and many more of his collection in a few weeks when I go up and visit. Congratulations to Chuck on a beautifully done room and the recent acquisition of the rare Marconi Mark IIs and Mark IIIs…the only ones in the US.
Fox 40? WICZ-TV?
Awesome!
Thats Amazing!! So Cool..
I hope he opens a museum some day. Would love to see these in person.
…Chuck was the first person I looked up on the internet to help me get re-acquainted with one of my favorite subjects ..TV CAMERAS ! ! ..I am fascinated of his background with ABC, his ability to restore these vintage cameras, CCU’s and other broadcast equipment ..I was a bit sad when, many years ago, when my Dad and brother gave up our first color TV, a Heathkit GR-53A ..betcha Chuck would have loved to obtain it and possibly restore it ! ..have fun with the visit, Bobby E., and take and post some photos if you can ! ! ..tell Chuck I said HEY ! ! !
Man cave!
Very impressive!
Only video?! I know where are a bunch of the old white Photosonic cameras. Film history!
That’s impressive
Looks like a snug fit to walk through!
Do they all work?
Way to go, Chuck!
Very cool!
Is that Fox 40 camera from KTXL?
Love that the Marconis are all in a line front and center…..and that the MK4 that he’s had for a while now[?] is in the group too!
Seeing a TK45 hiding off to the left [the PC70 is aimed at it]….what’s that logo artwork I’m seeing on it?
WOW Chuck, this is a great collection. The Television Academy should open up a permanent display room for your collection.
U’d never have to come out..just have food brough n.hahaha
