Memories
Worked on one of those many times…
Ampex VR-2000…..I remember those rigs. Had to pull the electronics out of the cabinet when the AC started having problems, and we would bring in some window fans to stay on the air. You didn’t want the tape to fly loose when in rewind because the end of the videotape would whack out the spinning recording heads.
Ha! I actually remember seeing that sticker!
I remember this one and I am not – nor have I ever been – a video tape technician. I value my sanity too highly;)
I know how to work one of these. Anyone know where I can get a job.
Now, with shows being recorded on computer hard drives, it would be “Be kind to the IT people”.
