HUGE AND FUN TRICK SHOT SURPRISES From The 1920s!!!
If you are like me, seeing Harold Lloyd hanging from this clock always gives me chills and makes me wonder about his sanity, BUT…now we know how they did this, and more very slick effects.
As you scroll down the page, a half dozen or so mysteries will reveal themselves with some good animated reveals on how Charlie Chaplin, Douglas Fairbanks, Mary Pickford (and Mary Pickford) and more stars fooled us all. At the bottom, be sure and click the Load More Images bar to see more from Buster Keaton and a cool color filter truck from the 1925 “Ben Hur”. Enjoy and share! -Bobby Ellerbee

Very interesting. With the Lloyd shot, I always read that he was actually up there. These people were geniuses.
This post reminded me of an amazing item I saw on your website some years ago … https://staging.eyesofageneration.com/teletales/you-wont-believe-this/
Thanks — this is great.
That’s fantastic, Bobby — somebody could easily do a 2-hour TV special with this stuff.
It is called Movie Majic! and the rest is history…. Great stuff – Bobby Ellerbee Thanks for sharing.
Great animation
Very clever
Ils étaient géniaux
Very interesting.
Still, if Lloyd *had* fallen, he would’ve had to bounce in the right direction. Maybe Safety Second-to-Last?
This is fascinating!
Lloyd still appears to be dangerously close to the edge of the building. What if he bounced of the matress?
