Picture Parade #1…’Let’s Make A Deal’ ABC 1968 – 1976
Here’s a photo I just got from Chuck Pharis. This was in ABC Hollywood Studio 54 and that’s Jan Lowery on Camera 1, which is a Norelco PC60. This looks a lot like it did when it was on NBC from Burbank before the move to ABC. Enjoy and share! -Bobby Ellerbee
It’s funny to see Jan wearing a light weight Planatronics headset. On the LMAD set today we hit over 100 dB and cameras wear David & Clark headsets like at NASCAR.
Worked this as a page in ’73-’74. Monty was a very nice man.

I have the video tape of the making of “Let’s Make A Deal”. It was so cool! The announcer had to be on his toes on announcing the prize behind what ever curtain was chosen.
Just wrapped Let’s Make a Deal and visited with Monty. He looks great and is as sharp as a tack!

I never could grasp the arched ceiling of that studio. Was 54 an auditorium-style stage?
