SNL Promos…The 30 Rock Rooftop Garden
There are several rooftop gardens in Rockefeller Center, but I think this location is actually on top of the 11 story studio building at 30 Rock, and may even be directly over Studio 8H.

Both this lawn and the Middle Garden have been used for SNL shoots and for promos. The Middle Garden is also used by Access Hollywood for New York shoots.
Truly above the studio building. Accessible via French doors from the 11th floor of the main GE building. Access severely cut to NBC employees after building bought by Tishman-Speyer and leased back to NBC. Used to be smoking central – cigarettes, cannabis. Always knew it was spring when the trees in bloom seen from street level when walking up West 49th St.
