Marconi Mark II cameras capture the action of scene, but the real action is on the end of that dolly boom. That’s quite a balancing act. I see a Vinten logo on the boom arm, but don’t recognize the model. Neither the Pathfinder II dolly or the Heron stage crane had lattice work supports in the boom arms like this one. Maybe this is a Pathfinder I manual dolly. Anyone know?
Its a Pathfinder I, he’s sat on a the seat with his right foot on the footrest. The latticework is strengthening under the arm to cope with some much larger, heavier cameras. Its at its highest elevation.
Classic Arts Television is airing a lot of kinescope recordings done in Canada in the 50’s and 60’s and this musical number could be one they will air; will have to remember the lady on the balcony.
